Supporting St Helena Hospice

St Helena Hospice helps local people face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting them, their families, friends and carers. It also helps adults and children in north east Essex who have been bereaved, regardless of how or where their loved one died.

St Helena Hospice supports members of the community, helping them make their own choices and live with dignity. By focusing on their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, it aims to bring comfort and relief to all those who need it, offering the people of north east Essex individual care and total support, regardless of their diagnosis or personal circumstances. Support is provided where and when it is needed, whether at home, at the Hospice or over the phone through the 24/7 advice line, SinglePoint.

Only 20% of St Helena Hospice's income comes from the NHS. That means that 80% of the income needed to run St Helena Hospice is raised through the local community. That includes through people playing Your Hospice Lottery, giving donations, buying in St Helena shops, and leaving gifts in Wills as well as supporting its cleaning, arts and crafts classes and home care businesses.

Pop the kettle on, take out your tea stand and you are ready to go! Enjoy an Afternoon Tea at home, made by our expert bakers. For best results, we recommend warming the scones and twisting them open. Upon receipt of goods please put the clotted cream into the refrigerator and store the remainder ambient in a dry place.

Goods will be dispatched frozen, with appropriate packaging to ensure the product is temperature controlled. As this product has been frozen, it is not suitable for re-freezing.

Please note the clotted cream that will be used in this box will be Devon Cream 'Coombe Castle' - not Rodda's as pictured.

Shipping & Cut-offs

• Courier: All orders are shipped via DPD.

• 2 Day delivery: Orders placed before 1:00 PM (Monday – Thursday) are dispatched for delivery within 2 business days. 

• Friday & Weekend Orders: Any orders placed after 1:00 PM on Thursday, through to Sunday evening, will be processed and dispatched on Monday.

• Delivery Days: Your expected delivery days are Tuesday through Friday. We do not currently offer weekend or Monday deliveries to ensure your products do not sit in a courier depot over the weekend.

Nationwide: For nationwide orders, we use DPD with a 99% success rate. We recommend downloading the DPD App to track and manage your delivery window. For larger volumes and palletised orders, we work with ambient and frozen supply chain partners to offer nationwide and international distribution.

Scottish Highlands & Islands Postcode Restrictions

While most Scottish locations are eligible for next-day delivery, DPD is unable to reach certain remote areas and islands within a timeframe that guarantees the freshness of our products.

• Business Addresses Only: Delivery is currently restricted to UK mainland business addresses.

• Safe Place Policy: As our products are fresh, DPD is instructed to "Leave in a Safe Place" if no one is available. Fresh bakes cannot be returned to a depot.
